Got questions? We've got answers! Read below the answers to our frequently asked questions that you may have too.

Do you offer tastings?

Yes. Due to limited availability, cake tastings are only offered for wedding cake

orders.

Is there a fee for the tasting?

Yes. There is a small fee to secure your visit on our calendar. If you choose to move

forward with our services, it will be applied to your order.  When you schedule your

visit, you will be sent an invoice for the consultation and tasting fee, $40 per couple.

Once we have received payment your appointment will be confirmed.

Please keep in mind that cake samples are prepared specifically for you. We ask for

the courtesy of 48 hours’ notice if your appointment needs to be rescheduled.

Cancellations without the appropriate notice will be subject to an additional fee in

order to rebook the appointment.

What do I need to bring to our appointment?

It is helpful to have color(s) and floral decisions prior to our meeting so we have that

information available when designing your cake.

The design process is definitely a collaborative effort, and we’ll keep exploring

options until you have a design you love.

What Can I Expect To Pay For A Wedding Cake? Do you have a price list?

We do not have a general price list because each cake is one-of-a-kind. Ultimately

the price is based on the complexity of design and the number of people being

served. It is helpful to have a budget in mind for what you would like to spend on

your cake.  This will give us a better sense of what we can design for you.

What is your delivery area? What do you charge for delivery?

Our delivery areas are Orangeburg, Branchville, Bamberg, Denmark, North,

Cordova, St. Matthews. Please contact us to inquire about any other specific

location.

For 3 tiers or more and for intricately designed custom cakes, we must insist on

delivering. Our cakes are delicate and require specific temperature control, timed

deliveries and transportation.

Delivery and set up fees are additional and are calculated at an hourly rate of $25

round trip.

​

*There is no fee to deliver in Orangeburg.

Do you ship your cakes?

No, we do not ship our cakes at this time.

Do I have to make a deposit to reserve my wedding date? If so, how much
is it and can I get a refund, if necessary?

Yes, we require a 50% retainer fee to reserve your wedding date on our calendar. 

We will base your retainer on the total estimated amount at the time you place your

order.   We ask that you be absolutely certain that you would like to work with us, as

all retainers are date specific and non-refundable.

How far in advance should I order a cake?

Custom Cakes By Stacey is a small cake business that take a limited amount of

clients each week. We recommend getting in touch for wedding cakes at least 4 to 6

months prior to the date, and special occasion cakes 1 month prior to the date.

We will definitely attempt to accommodate last-minute requests, if our schedule

allows.  Please call or email to find out our availability for your particular date.

Do you make individual cakes, cupcakes and decorated cookies?

Yes. Please contact us for additional information.

Do you make sugar free or vegan cakes? Do you use organic

ingredients?

We currently do not make sugar free or vegan cakes.
